- Chris Mihm was traded from the Celtics to the Lakers in exchange for Gary Payton and an almost retired Rick Fox. - 2000-01 NBA All-Rookie Second Team. - Chris Mihm potential to be a solid center for the Lakers could not be fulfilled basically because of the injuries he suffered. - With Andrew Bynum as the team starting center and Pau Gasol as the second option, Mihm was traded to Memphis for a conditional 2nd-round draft pick in 2013. It was basically a financial decision to avoid future luxury tax and give him the opportunity to get more playing time somewhere else. |
