- The most dominating player ever, Wilt Chamberlain was inducted into Hall of Fame as Player in 1979.
- Led by Wilt Chamberlain and Jerry West the 1971-72 Lakers won an NBA record 33-consecutive games and went to win the NBA Championship, the second in Chamberlain's career.
- Wilt Chamberlain scoring stats belong to a one-man category and have no comparison with any other player in NBA history. NBA records of 100 points in a game, 7 times 70 or more points, 32 times 60 or more, 50.4 points per game in one season, and unending streaks of 40+ games and 30+ games. Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant and Elgin Baylor are the only players following his steps but they are not even close. He's also at the top of the stats books in the rebounds category holding most of the records, 55 in one game, 22.9 career average and the list goes on and on.
- When Wilt Chamberlain arrived to the Lakers he had changed from a scoring machine to a more complete player and although his scoring average dropped substantially he continued dominating the boards and assisting his teammates.
