- Vujacic adaptation to the NBA took a long time and his tendency to perform well in practices but no so good in games resulted in another of Phil Jackson's ironic quotes, calling him an "11 o'clock player". Despite that quote, Jackson always believed in him and Sasha with his long shooting touch finally became a fundamental member of the Lakers 2007-08 second unit (with Jordan Farmar, Ronny Turiaf and Luke Walton) that is regarded as one of the best in the league, usually outperforming the opponent's bench and even creating problems to opposing starting lineups.
- Vujacic started his professional career playing with Snaidero Udine of Italy at the age of 16. He arrived to the NBA as a point guard but was moved to shooting guard and usually played as Kobe Bryant's backup.
- Vujacic started to call himself "The Machine", a funny nickname that was adopted by his teammates and the press.
- Sasha was drafted by the Lakers with the 27th pick in 2004 and averaged 4.8 points, 1.7 rebounds and 1.2 assists in his 7 seasons at L.A. His best season was the 2007-08 where he averaged 8.8 points while shooting an impressive 43.7% from 3-point range. He was traded to the Nets in the 2010-11 season, mostly for monetary reasons.
- He won two championships with the team and will always be remembered for making a couple of key free throws at the end of game 7 in the 2010 Finals against the Celtics.
