Kobe's Time: 2 Championships
In 2009 Kobe Bryant finally got his first championship without Shaq. He was the leader of a team full of talented players like Pau Gasol, Lamar Odom and Trevor Ariza and was supported by Derek Fisher's experience.
In the offseason the Lakers saw Ariza go and Ron Artest arrive and in 2010 the Lakers repeated as Kobe and Fisher got their 5th NBA Title. In the Finals they defeated their archrival Boston Celtics in seven games and took revenge from 2008.

Jerry West, Wilt Chamberlain and the Record Season: 1 Championship
In the middle of an era dominated by the Celtics, Jerry West lost 8 NBA Finals with the Lakers, 6 of them at the hands of Boston, but he never gave up and his perseverance was rewarded with a Championship in the 1972 season. West and Chamberlain were the leaders of the team that set the still-standing NBA record of 33 consecutive victories in a then-record season of 69-13, only surpassed later by Michael Jordan's Bulls of 1996.
