8/5: The NBA released the Lakers 2009-2010 schedule. One of the highlights of the season will be Kobe Bryant and Pau Gasol vs. Lebron James and Shaquille O'Neal on Dec. 25 when the defending champion host the Cleveland Cavaliers.
7/31: Lamar Odom and the Lakers finally agreed to a 4-year $33 million contract with a team option for the final year. The team waived guard from China Sun Yue.
7/23: The Los Angeles Lakers have restarted contract negotiations with free-agent forward Lamar Odom. According to sources the talks are productive but nothing is imminent. The Lakers are not believed to have improved the offers they retracted last week.

7/15: Tired of waiting for an answer the Lakers decided to pull their offer to Lamar Odom. More than a week ago the team owner Jerry Buss offered Odom's agent two deals of 4 years at $9 million a season for a total of $36 million or 3 years at $10 million for a total of $30 million, but Odom did not respond and his agent has been talking with the Dallas Mavericks and Miami Heat. Many believe that Odom wants to accept Buss' offer but he has failed to convince his agent

5/13: Kobe Bryant was named to the NBA's All-NBA first team for the seventh time. Pau Gasol was selected for the third team becoming the first Laker other than Kobe and Shaq on those teams since 1991.
