In this page you can find the top 50 list with the best career steals averages. The list includes both the Minneapolis Lakers and the Los Angeles Lakers players.
Note that steals were not officially tracked until the 1973-1974 season, the final season of Jerry West Career. "The Logo", then 35 years old, only played 31 games that season but averaged 2.61 steals per game, wich gives you an idea of what his real career average could have been. Although 2.61 is the best average in Lakers history, 31 games is a really low number so it would be also correct to say that Eddie Jones has officially the best average in franchise history.
Kobe Bryant (10th), Trevor Ariza (30th.), Derek Fisher (32th.) and Lamar Odom (46th.) are the 2007-08 Lakers on this list. |
