Feb 11, 2015: The Lakers lost against the Portland Trail Blazers 86-102.
Feb 10, 2015: To give this lost season a meaning the Lakers need to lose each and every game they play to try to keep their 2015 draft pick --if it is higher than 5 it goes to Phoenix-- and they are doing a good job at it. With this 106-96 loss against Denver they have lost 16 of the last 18. Led by Ty Lawson's 32 points and 16 assists the Nuggets twice erased double-digit deficits.
Feb 8, 2015: Rookie Jordan Clarkson scored a career-high 20 for the Lakers but they had no chance against LeBron James, Kevin Love and the Cleveland Cavaliers who 120-105. Love made 7 of 8 3-pointers for a season high 32 points, LeBron added 22 points, 10 rebounds and 8 assists and Kyrie Irving finished with 28 points and 10 assists for the Cavs.

Jan 21, 2015: Kobe Bryant returned after two games but he injured his right shoulder and the Lakers lost again, this time 96-80 at the hands of the Pelicans. Jan 19, 2015: The Lakers lost against the Phoenix Suns 100-115.
Jan 16, 2015: With 31 points and 7 assists from Gordon Hayward the Utah Jazz defeated the Lakers 94-85. L.A. played without Kobe Bryant and lost its fourth in a row.
Jan 15, 2015: Both Kobe Bryant and LeBron James provided memorable performances but led by LeBron's 36 points the Cavaliers won 109-102. It has to be hard for Kobe to play in a team like this one at this stage of his career. At 36 years old he's still the best player on his team and his 19 points and a career high 17 assists in 32 minutes weren't enough to defeat the Cavs, losers of their previous 6 games. Kobe's previous career-high was 15 assists which he recorded on February 12, 2002 playing against Michael Jordan.
Jan 13, 2015: Kobe Bryant played this time but he had an horrendous shooting night and the Heat won 78-75 despite losing Dwyane Wade to a strained hamstring in the first half. After missing 3 of the last 4 games Kobe scored 12 points on 3-of-19 shooting and missed a 3-point attempt at the end.
Jan 11, 2015: Damian Lillard scored 16 of his 39 points in the final 5:11 to lead his Trail Blazers to a 106-94 win. Portland has won 27 of his last 32 games while Kobe Bryant was rested again by his coach Byron Scott, for the sixth time in 11 games.
Jan 9, 2015: Playing without Kobe for the fifth time this season the Lakers defeated Orlando 101-84. Jeremy Lin scored 18 points, Carlos Boozer added 12 points and 14 rebounds and recently acquired rookie Tarik Black added a career-high 14 points and nine rebounds all in the second half.
Jan 7, 2015: The Lakers had no chance against the Clippers and lost 114-89. With 27 points, 9 rebounds and 8 assists from Blake Griffin and 24 points and 11 assists from Chris Paul, the Clippers entered the fourth quarter leading by 36 points. They won the 5th straight against the Lakers, the longest-winning streak in franchise history. Kobe Bryant went scoreless in the first half after focusing on moving the ball and finished the game with 4 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists.
Jan 5, 2015: Damian Lillard scored 39 points to help the Trail Blazers defeat L.A. 98-94. The Lakers were without Kobe Bryant who had another scheduled game of rest. Jordan Hill had 23 points and 14 rebounds.
Jan 4, 2015: Kobe scored 9 of his 20 points in the final 2:32, including the go-ahead hook shot that allowed the Lakers to finish with an 88-87 win over the Pacers. Nick Young added 22 points coming from the bench, 10 of them in the fourth quarter.
Jan 2, 2015: The Lakers lost against the Memphis Grizzlies 106-109.
Dec 30, 2014: With the 21st triple-double of his career (23 points, 11 assists and 11 rebounds) Kobe Bryant led the Lakers to a 111-103 win at Denver. Carlos Boozer added 19 points and 9 rebounds coming from the bench.
Dec 28, 2014: After resting his aching body for 3 games Kobe Bryant returned and had 10 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists in 32 minutes. But the Lakers couldn't avoid their consecutive loss, 116-107 at the hands of the Suns. Goran Dragic led Phoenix with 24 points.
Dec 26, 2014: Once again without Kobe the Lakers lost 102-98 at Dallas. Recently acquired Rajon Rondo had a season-high 21 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists for the Mavericks while Dirk Nowitzki added 14 points to pass Elvin Hayes for eighth in the NBA's all-time scoring list.
Dec 25, 2014: Led by former Lakers Pau Gasol who had 23 points and 13 rebounds, the Bulls defeated L.A. 113-93. Playing without Kobe Bryant again the Lakers made it a game until the third quarter where they got within two points but couldn't sustain it in the fourth. Kobe is resting his aching body and it is unlikely he will play against Dallas.
Dec 23, 2014: Coach Byron Scott decided to rest Kobe Bryant against the best team in the NBA and it went better than expected since the Lakers defeated the Warriors 115-105. Carlos Boozer had 18 points and 9 rebounds coming from the bench while 6 other Lakers scored in double figures. It was the Warriors fourth loss in 27 games since the season began.
Dec 21, 2014: Nick Young scored 26 points, and Bryant added 25 but it wasn't enough fot the Lakers who lost 108-101 at Sacramento. DeMarcus Cousins had 29 points and 14 rebounds to help the Kings snap a 5-game losing streak.
Dec 19, 2014: The Lakers lost against the Oklahoma City Thunder 103-104.
Dec 15, 2014: The Lakers lost 110-91 at Indiana against a team that had lost the previous eight games. It went bad from the beginning for the Lakers who made just 7 of 43 shots in the first half for an horrendous 16 percent and trailed by as many as 39 points in the second quarter.
Dec 14, 2014: By making his two free throws with 5:24 to play in the second quarter, Kobe Bryant passed Michael Jordan for third in the NBA's all-time scoring list. The Lakers won 100-94 at Minnesota and Kobe finished with 26 points to reach a career total of 32,310, 18 more than MJ's 32,292. When the Lakers star made the second free throw the game was stopped momentarily, there were hugs from teammates and rivals and he was given the ball of the game, all in the atmosphere generated by an standing ovation from fans at Target Center. Kobe is now 4,618 shy of Karl Malone who is the league's second top scorer. To get there at his current average of 25.4 ppg (which is high) he would need 182 games, a little more than two seasons and apparently more than what he's willing to play.
Dec 12, 2014: Against the Spurs Kobe Bryant scored just 22 of the 30 points he needed to catch Jordan but thanks to Nick Young the Lakers got an unexpected win 112-110 in overtime. A day after a classic practice scrimmage in which Kobe criticized his teammates and called them soft they reacted and defeated the NBA Champions. Young scored 29 points, including the winning three-pointer with 7.4 left in overtime. Although Kobe didn't surpassed MJ, Tim Duncan did surpassed NBA legend Jerry West for 18th on the career scoring list.
Dec 9, 2014: With his 32 points Kobe Bryant led the Lakers to a 98-95 victory over the Kings and got within 30 points of Michael Jordan who is currently the NBA's all-time third scoring leader. Sacramento played without leading scorer and rebounder DeMarcus Cousins and missed a 3-pointer at the buzzer.
Dec 7, 2014: Coach Byron Scott made changes to the Lakers starting line-up and sent Carlos Boozer and Jeremy Lin to the bench but it didn't work and Los Angeles lost his sixth consecuteve game at home, 104-87 against New Orleans. Kobe Bryant scored 14 points while Pelicans forward Anthony Davis finished with 23. They are the NBA's scoring leaders with 25.2 ppg.
Dec 5, 2014: The Lakers lost 113-96 at Boston and at this point it seems that the most important moment of the season for Lakers fans will come in a couple of games when Kobe Bryant reaches 32,293 points to surpass Michael Jordan. Kobe, who scored 22 against the Celtics, is just 76 points shy of that mark.
Dec 3, 2014: The Lakers can't get some consistent team play and lost 111-95 at Washington. Kobe Bryant scored 15 of his 29 points in the first quarter but missed all his 7 field-goal attempts in the second half. Lakers point guard Jeremy Lin was scoreless, missing all of his 10 field goal attempts. John Wall had a season high 15 assists for the Wizards.
Dec 2, 2014: The Lakers won 106-96 at Detroit despite Kobe Bryant's slow start. The league's current scoring leader went scoreless in the first half and then scored all his 12 points in a row in the third quarter. He also finished with 13 assists and 10 turnovers while 5 of his teammates scored in double figures including Jordan hill with 22 points and 13 rebounds. It was the Pistons' 9th loss in a row.
Nov 30, 2014: After 4 consecutive losses the Lakers defeated the Raptors 129-122 in overtime. Seven Lakers scored in double figures including Nick Young with 20 points off the bench.
Nov 28, 2014: The Lakers are the worst team in the West and they coudn't get a win despite playing agaisnt the second worst Timberwolves. It was a 120-119 Loss in which the Lakers had the control for most of the game and had a chance to win it at the end but Kobe's three point attempt as time expired hit the rim.
Nov 26, 2014: The Lakers lost against the Memphis Grizzlies 93-99.
Nov 23, 2014: Kobe Bryant scored 27 points but he was cold at the end making just 4 of 14 shots after the third quarter and the Lakers lost in overtime 101-94 against the Nuggets.
Nov 21, 2014: The Lakers first winning streak of the season came to an end abruptly with a 140-106 loss against Dallas. The Mavericks, who have the highest-scoring offense in the NBA, scored 110 points in just three quarters and both team sat out their starters in the fourth.
Nov 19, 2014: It took the Lakers 12 games to win two in a row but they finally did it with a 98-92 win at Houston. Kobe finished with 29 points and 7 assists while James Harden had 24 and 7 for the Rockets who played without injured Dwight Howard.
Nov 18, 2014: In the 114-109 Lakers victory at Atlanta, Kobe Bryant made history by scoring 28 points to become only the fourth player ever to reach 32,000 career points. He's now 32,001 and needs just 291 points to surpass Michael Jordan's 32,292. The Lakers returned to victory after 4 losses. Nov 12, 2014: The Lakers lost 102-109 at New Orleans and dropped to 1-7 so far this season. Kobe Bryant scored 33 points and is currently the NBA's scoring leader with 27.5 ppg but he shot 10-for-28 and the Pelicans shot 54.9 percent, dominated the paint and had Anthony Davis with 25 points, 12 rebounds and 6 blocks.
Nov 11, 2014: The Lakers almost erased a 17-point fourth-quarter deficit but at the end they only got their sixth loss of the season, 107-102 against the Grizzlies. Kobe Bryant led the team with 28 points but with his 16 missed shots he surpassed Celtics John Havlicek for the most missed field goals in an NBA career with 13,421.

Nov 4, 2014: Despite Kobe Bryant's 39-point performance the Lakers lost again, this time 112-106 at the hands of the Suns and are 0-5 to start the season, the worst start since the 1957-58 Minneapolis Lakers lost the first seven games.
Nov 1, 2014: Klay Thompson scored a career-high 41 points, leading the Warriors to a 127-104 win over the Lakers. Byron Scott's team is still winless this season with a 0-4 record that's the worst start since 1957-58.
