NBA Playoffs 2012 - Western Conference Semifinals - Series Preview

Los Angeles Lakers vs. Oklahoma City Thunder

Series Preview

Los Angeles LakersOklahoma City Thunder

May 14: The Lakers will face the Oklahoma City Thunder in the Western Conference Semifinals of the 2012 Playoffs.

The regular season series went 2-1 for the Thunder.

The two teams have previously met in 8 Playoff editions (including the Thunder and the Seattle Supersonics) and the Lakers came out victorious in 6 with a combined 25-11 record.

The Thunder will be well rested after sweeping their first round series 4-0 while the Lakers barely got rid of the Denver Nuggets in game 7 just two days before the beginning of this series. But on the other hand L.A. will have their bigs (Andrew Bynum and Pau Gasol) in a good mood after erasing the criticism with a great performance in that decisive game and Metta World Peace will be able to play after being suspended 7 games for elbowing Oklahoma's James Harden in their final season meeting.
